Motivation
This topic is embedded in the project of measuring blood flow intraoperativly with an optical system (surgical microscope). The blood flow is important to assess the tissues perfusion. In case of hypoperfusion the function of the tissue cannot be maintained and irreversible damages are possible.
Three main factors are crucial for estimating the flow: The cross-sectional area, distance traveled and time needed to pass the distance. The first two are geometrical parameters and the last one temporal. The temporal parameter will be in the focus of this work! Especially their spatial distribution. Algorithms for computing the time delay map of the fluorescence signal should be developed.Project description
This project consists of the computation of the time delay map. The implementation is done in MATLAB.
