With the help of an existing shape model for the left and right ventricles, simulations of the transmembrane voltages and a forward calculation for the extraction of a 12-channel surface ECG can be carried out. To do this, the model parameters (simulus positions and delays, position of the ventricles in the torso, conduction velocities, ...) must be determined for the simulation so that the resulting QRS complexes correspond to the clinically recorded signals as closely as possible.
